The most wonderful time of the year........

Well Christmas is over. It feels great to be home after almost a week of travelling. First to North Bay then to Hamilton. We had a wonderful Holiday this year. I only wish that it would have lasted a bit longer.

Emmett really had a great time. He loved all the new toys that Santa brought him. He's finally getting the concept of opening presents, but everytime he would open one, he wouldn't want to continue because he was so excited about what he had just unwrapped. It was wonderful to see his excitement.

Now that the new year is approaching, Im hoping to do some major organizing in our house. I need to somehow make room for Emmett's stuff! Oh the joys of apartment life! Such little space, so much stuff!

Tonight Vince and I are going to set up Emmetts Thomas the Train table! It was a gift from VInce's parents, but since they are in Hamilton so we couldnt take it out of the box, so Emmett really didnt know what it was when he got it. Santa brought him a lot of pieces of the wooden trains, so I cant wait to see how excited he is tomorrow morning when it's all set up!! He just loves the one at the toy store, we usually have to carry him out kicking and screaming!!

No big plans for new years! I think we are just going to cuddle up and watch a few movies! I've never been a big fan of going out for new years, so for me that is the perfect way to celebrate.

Christmas Spirit!

I have always loved Christmas, but this year it has been something all together different. Christmas was fun as a kid, but it doesn't even compare to the joy I feel seeing my own son enjoy Christmas. It has truly been the greatest gift! I'm so excited to start our own special traditions with our little family!

Christmas Photo Shoot

I had a little Christmas photo shoot with Emmett last night. I want to give out some pictures to my grandparents for Christmas. Usually we get them done professionally, but this year I decided to give it a go by myself. Im pretty happy with how they turned out. I love the last one, it makes me smile.

I adore this busy time of year. So many fun things to do, presents to wrap, decorations to put out, ginger bread houses to build. I cant believe how quickly Christmas is coming. I cant wait!

Searching...........for a name!

Well I logged onto my email and got a nasty little surprise today!! Apparently I have to change my blog name or legal action will be taken against me........hmmmmmm. Is it real? well I dont really care to find out. Though I thought it was a relatively popular phrase, as well as the name of a country c.d. I guess I was mistaken :) Its ok, Im ready for a little makeover anyways!

Anyone have any awesome ideas for my new name? Im gonna make a pretty new banner to go with it :) but Im really terrible at thinking up names for these things.

Not so Merry!

Last night we took Emmett to see Santa, he was fine, but didnt want to sit on Santa's knee! I love this picture anyways! I adore that pouty little lip.

Santa tried to give Emmett a candy cane and his reply was "no no" I guess we dont have to teach him not to take candy from Strangers.....LOL.
