A great trip!!

We've been back for a week now, but Im just getting around to updating my blog. We had a great time in Philadelphia. THe King tut exhibit was great!! I was a getting nervous because I had heard some bad reviews, but I definitely think it was worth the drive.

We also got to visit the Penn museum, which is where most of our pictures were taken. We weren't allowed to take ANY pictures at the King tut exhibit.

We checked out the liberty bell as well, and did some shopping. It was nice to get away just the two of us for a change!!

King Tut!!

Im so excited!! In a couple of days Vince and I are off for a little weekend getaway to Philadelphia!! We're going to see the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute. I am such a history buff, especially ancient Egyptian history. Since I wont be heading off to Egypt in the very near future, this will have to tide me over.
We have some other activitites planned for the weekend too but Im not too sure we'll be able to fit it all in. There's the penn state archaeology museum, the liberty bell, the philadelphia zoo!! oh and hopefully a little shopping trip to Target!! I have yet to experience the wonder that is Target!

Birthday Celebrations!!!

My little boy is officially two!!! I cant believe how fast he's growing up. We had a couple of birthday celebrations for him. THe first one was a party with our family and friends! He requested a Thomas the train party (big surprise there!) and thats what he got.

We had the party a week before his actual birthday, so the next weekend we travelled to St. Thomas for the "Day out with Thomas" It was such a wonderful day. Emmett was beside himself with excitement. The only drawback was the heat. Unfortunately we couldn't stay too long because it was getting to be too much for Emmett to handle, but we still had a wonderful time. We got to enjoy a train ride with Thomas, saw Sir Topham hat, have lunch, and do some shopping in the gift shop. Oh yeah, and my little one got his first tattoo :P
